The makers of The Avengers are taking another step to tap the Indian market. They want to dub the film in Hindi and release it along with the English version on April 27, 2012. “The production house is keen to rope in Bollywood stars to give voiceovers for the different characters,” says an industry informer.
The upcoming American superhero film, that is directed by Joss Whedon, will bring together various Marvel characters like Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Incredible Hulk (Lou Ferrigno), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) to help save the Earth from annihilation. Apparently, getting the right people to dub for Iron Man and his love interest Pepper (played by Gwyneth Paltrow in the original series) is proving to be tricky.
Salman Khan is slated to get jiggy this Sunday at an entertainment awards event. The star will dance to his popular dance numbers like ‘Character Dheela’. Sallu has also been nominated for the most entertaining actor and will battle it out for the honours with Ranbir Kapoor. No prizes for guessing who will win. Tee hee!

It is likely that Ranbir Kapoor, who is basking on the critical acclaim for his performance in and as ‘Rockstar’, will do a film with south filmmaker KV Anand who has graced Tamil cinema with a series of hits and is known for his attention to detail and unique scripts.
The yet-to-be-titled venture will be produced by RS Infotainment, the company behind some of the recent hits of Kollywood including ‘Ko’, which again will be remade in Hindi shortly. However this Ranbir starrer will go on floors only sometime next year after the duo are free from their respective commitments, probably after April.
Astar of his ilk needn’t have to, but Ranbir Kapoor can be counted on to take practical decisions in the interest of the films he’s shooting for.
Currently filming Anurag Basu’s Barfi on the outskirts of Coimbatore, the actor had been put up at a five-star in Ooty, which is a good two hours away from the location. “He is up by 3 am daily so as to reach by first call, which is at 6 am.
After duds like Rakta Charitra, Rann and Jhoota Hi Sahi, producers Allu Arvind and Madhu Mantena intend to bounce back in Bollywood with a big ticket entertainer in 2012.
Apparently, they’ve made a casting coup of sorts and roped in happening stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha to play lovers in their next film. In between, they even thought of remaking Magadheera and 100% Love in Hindi but shelved the idea, and even disposed off the remake rights of 100% Love to another producer.
“We have been listening to various scripts but we were really impressed with an exciting script narrated by director Vikramaditya Motwane, of the critically acclaimed Udaan,” says a source from the production house.
Legendary Bollywood star Kishore Kumar’s biopic has been a talking point for quite some time now.
Not only because of the scale of the project, that deals with one of the biggest entertainers Bollywood has seen, but also because of the people involved with the project, which include names like Nagesh Kukunoor, Anurag Basu, Shoojit Sircar, Ranbir Kapoor, etc.
And even though the biopic had the full support of the singer-actor’s family, there have been several roadblocks. If Ranbir had problems committing to it, director Anurag Basu was also busy with his own assignments. Continue reading
Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor has earned respect and a huge fan base owing to his superb performance in Rockstar. Ranbir opened up in an interview with a newspaper, and candidly talked about his stardom and his much hyped friendship with Imran Khan.
Ranbir Kapoor feels that his relationships are always exaggerated by the media. He said that though everything published and talked about by the media is not totally untrue, but most of the times, it is blown out of proportion. For instance, it is true that he is great friends with Imtiaz Ali and Ayan Mukherjee; however, his friendship with Imran Khan is portrayed exaggeratedly by the newsmakers!
Actor Ranbir Kapoor and current toast of the country finds his director Imtiaz Ali sexy!
He says, “I’ve yet to meet a man who understands women better than Imtiaz Ali. He’s sexy. If there’s someone sexy, it’s Imtiaz Ali. He understands a woman’s needs – spiritually and emotionally. Apart from that, he’s probably one of the nicest guys. He’s genuine, there’s no facade. Be it me, my driver, my spot boy or an industry honcho, his behaviour remains the same. Imtiaz is not aware of his sexiness and that’s what makes him truly sexy.”
Is it tough for ex-es to work together? Ranbir doesn’t think so. The former couple are signed on to do Ayan’s Mukerji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
He told Filmfare in an interview, “Deepika and I came in for a lot of negativity because of the way our relationship ended. But our duty as individual actors is to get rid of the baggage and make the greatest love story of this generation. I think Deepika suits this character in Ayan’s film better than anyone else. I hope people forget our history and love only our characters on screen. There won’t be any discomfort.”
